In 2008, Courtland Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, formerly Jewish Convalescent & Nursing Home, opened our doors to residents of all faiths, and they are encouraged to practice their religious preferences.
Jewish worship services are held on the Sabbath and holidays. Only kosher food is served. Our rabbi also conducts Jewish religious and educational programs during the week. In addition, he is available for counseling.
Courtland Gardens is located within the eruv and makes every effort to accommodate observant Jewish residents, patients and their families. In addition to serving only glatt kosher food, we have bibles, prayer books and electric Shabbat candles available. A Shabbat entrance goes direction into our lobby.
Christian worship services are held on Sundays and on all holidays. Our chaplain visits residents at least once a week and counsels them, as well as their families when his services are requested. Bibles and prayer books are also available.
Clergy from all religions and faiths are also welcomed to visit and counsel residents at Courtland Gardens.
