Scheduling a Screening Mammogram

Call 410-521-5913 and choose option 1 to schedule
New patients call 410-601-9355

Questions you'll be asked when scheduling over the phone:
 - Type of insurance and policy number
 - Any prior mammograms done, if not at the Herman & Walter Samuelson Breast Care Center
 - Are you having any symptoms such as pain or discharge
 - Any previous breast surgeries
 - Do you have breast implants
 - Are you nursing or pregnant

In preparation for you appointment:
 - Bring you insurance card & physician order with you to the appointment
 - Do not wear deodorant, body powder or perfume on breast or underarm area
 - Wear a 2 piece outfit

 - Any prior mammograms done, if so at the Herman & Walter Samuelson Breast Care Center

*Center's Biopsy schedule availablity Tues/Thurs mornings only*

Questions you'll be asked when scheduling over the phone:
 - Type of insurance and policy number
 - Have you been to the Herman & Walter Samuelson Breast Care Center before
 - Do you have a physician order
 - Which breast will the procedure be done on

In preparation for you appointment:
 - Bring you insurance card & physician order with you to the appointment
 - Mammogram films will be needed at the Breast Care Center 48 hours before the Biopsy appointment
 - The center's nurse will call patient directly for further information

Scheduling an Ultrasound Guided Biopsy

Questions you'll be asked when scheduling over the phone:
 - Type of insurance and policy number
 - Any prior mammograms done, if so at the Herman & Walter Samuelson Breast Care Center

In preparation for you appointment:
 - Bring you insurance card & physician order with you to the appointment
 - Do not wear deodorant, body powder or perfume on breast or underarm area
 - Wear a 2 piece outfit
 - Your appointment will take about 90 minutes

Scheduling a Bone Density Exam

 - Type of insurance and policy number
 - Any prior bone density studies done before
 - Do you have a physician order

In preparation for you appointment:
 - Bring you insurance card & physician order with you to the appointment
 - Do not take over the counter drugs such as malox, tums, rolaids, etc for 24& hours prior to test
 - No metal can be on patient's clothing
 - Barium/Contrast exams within the same week cannot be done
